I see anand decided to ruin the conversation himself instead of waiting for pitchan or someone else.

kyo : captain tylor came way after the books, but do you actually think there's a relationship between them. yang wenli appears clumsy and irresponsible true, but we also see that he's very mature, smart, caring and when called upon to explain puts things in a historical perspective which is fantastic. I think the resemblance to tylor is very slight.

correction : a little googling tells me that the logh fans think tylor was a parody of yang wenli. So that might explain why he is yang wenli with a lot of luck but not necessarily the smarts. The joke with tylor is that he's either REALLY smart or REALLY lucky. Both well beyond the realm of belief

I don't like the idea of ANY yaoi in this series.
Also, pitch I think a while later you might start warming up to Kircheis. He's not AWESOME, but he's so much nicer than Lohenngram. And after ep 15 (which was the last one I watched), I think the relationship dynamic between the two will be strained and interesting to watch. Also, pitch, look out in ep 14, it has the biggest 'LOL HAHA IN YOUR FACE YOU ASSHOLE" moment EVARR.

MILD SPOILER ALERT (for pre-ep 15 people)

I'm done with 15 episodes. The past few episodes have been a tribute to the fact that both sides are equally awesome- Lohenngram really displays his smarts in how he decides to handle the liberation fleet. One very cool thing about the series is that there is no stark good side v/s stark evil side. The silent way Kirchies reproaches lohenngram, and the way that one ensign tries to protect the civilians to the very end are examples, or the political debauchery in the alliance and the patriotic knights and the callous treatment of civilians by royals in the empire..

The scorched earth thing was pretty badass, but especially harsh coming from the liberation fleet.

I found Yang's defeat very sad, but it goes to show that he might be the smartest of the lot, but Lohenngram has the power and that gives him terrible advantage.

hehe yeah absolutely. That seems to be a constant through the show that the empire allows lloengram great power with the risk that its an empire whereas the alliance has yang wenli who is mature and has more experience but has to struggle to get anything done.

Its like the battle of two systems of government in a way... a democracy vs a monarchy... you get to see the good and bad sides of both.... which is really cool IMO.... This anime also does a good job of making you want to root for both characters on both sides of the conflict.... I just think thats another one of the cooler aspects of this show.... I mean even in a show like Geass.... I didnt care all that much for Suzaku.... but in this show I was like... I dont want one to lose... but I dont want the other to win either.... very frustrating at times... but also enjoyable...

@ Path: Is that what Google said? LMAO.... I guess I was thinking something along the same lines.... I guess its just that Wenli is shown to be so damned laid back sometimes that he reminds me of Tylor... and Tylor sometimes just pulls of these coups that he makes me think of Wenli...

Ok I watched ep 26. MAJOR SPOILERS FOLLOW.

Kircheis was the nicest guy that side of the galaxy... and I expected him to die at some point, but not NOW, not so SUDDENLY. This was very abrupt and totally unexpected... and changes everything. Almost immediately Lohenngram's gone sulky and cranky. His attitude towards prince lichtenlade's family... well I think he's going to be unnecessarily ruthless without kircheis beside him, to fullfull the promise he made TO kircheis.

Another thing, Oberstein's statement about how a shadow must follow its light, but if the light dims, so dos the shadow... what exactly does it refer to? lohenngram and kircheis, or oberstein and kircheis? Also, I was really surprised Oberstein jumped in front of lohenngram even if Kircheis did it before him. I suppose a parasite needs to make sure the host is safe, eh.
